Continuing Education for Aestheticians: How Often is Too Often?
Most clients will obtain his or her desired whitening results after the initial 60 minute treatment. For clients with more severe stains, or those who want to achieve even more dramatic whitening results, additional whitening treatments can be scheduled to increase his or her whitening results.
There is no set time frame that a client should wait in between treatments, however it is important to remind your clients that whitening removes stains in the teeth, and can return teeth to their original, natural shade. Repeating the treatment often will whiten above the natural tooth shade.
With that in mind, we recommend waiting three to six months between the initial 60 minute treatment and using the remaining 20 minute follow-up dosage of gel that is included in each syringe. This will ensure that your client has a nice, white smile over a longer period of time.

Ultimately, it is up to you and your client to determine how often he or she would like a touch-up, if at all. Each person has his or her own needs and expectations from the whitening treatment. It is difficult to over-whiten, but some precautions should be taken into account before embarking on a rigorous whitening program. How to Practice Proper Gel Storage and Sanitation
Proper storage of your BEYOND™ WhiteSpa Select whitening gel syringes is crucial to preserving the efficacy of the active ingredients in the gel and to ensuring that treatment results are consistent. Each syringe is packaged outside of the BEYOND™ WhiteSpa Select Five Client Treatment Pack for easy storage in the refrigerator until treatment time.
Syringes with leftover gel can be placed back into the refrigerator until you’re ready to use the remaining gel. Simply remove the mixing tip and replace the syringe cap before putting back in the fridge.
Note: You’ll need to use a new mixing tip when dispensing the remaining gel. The design of the tips makes it impossible to clean out old gel and water can get trapped in the mixing tip if you try to rinse it out. Extra mixing tips can be purchased from your BEYOND™ products reseller, or directly from BEYOND™.
